Include unqualified adults in life

With the increasing importance of job automation and technological advances in the workforce, low-skilled workers are at risk for fewer opportunities in the labor market. These factors highlight the importance of providing lifelong learning opportunities. Lifelong adult education and training (EET) is essential for participation in economic, social and political activities in a time of globalization and technological progress. With these trainings, these people begin to gain skills.

These skills are important because they tell recruiters very clearly what you can do. Skill development can include hard skills (like how to use certain software or perhaps basic graphic design) and soft skills (improving your listening skills or getting better at giving constructive feedback).

According to experts, the ultimate goals of developing skills are to become a more effective employee, stay relevant and competitive in your industry, get noticed for potential further promotion and recognition, or position yourself for better job opportunities in the future.

There are also many opportunities for unskilled people to improve themselves, and it is necessary to show these opportunities to these people and make them use them. There are many ways that these people can improve themselves;

• Virtual Courses and Online Learning

Today, there are virtual courses for unskilled people to improve their qualifications. This means they can try to learn something new when they have time.Various virtual course platforms are available online, including:

• LinkedIn Learning
• Skill sharing
• Open education from MIT
• Khan Academy
• HubSpot Academy

One can work on these virtual courses at their own pace. Therefore, even if his career is challenging, he can still find time to hone his skills.

• Mentoring

Mentoring involves learning from someone who is more experienced or higher in the career ladder. They can monitor their work, let them teach directly, or have discussions about the skills they want to work on. It all depends on what one wants to improve in himself.

• Coaching

Unlike mentors, coaches receive specific training to guide people to reach my goals. Coaching can be a highly effective way to bridge the skill gap and realize potential. They can set long-term goals for the unskilled and encourage them to work for them little by little.

In order for these people to enter life, it is necessary to show how they can gain skills rather than just these 3 methods. It can be possible with 6 steps to gain these skills;

1. It should start with goal setting: First, these people need to set their goals.
2. They need to identify their knowledge gaps: These people can learn what kind of knowledge gaps they have by meeting with people who have achieved what they want.
3. Establish a skills development strategy for learning: Unskilled people should look for a variety of education and training opportunities that can fill their gaps. Using these resources, they can determine content for themselves.
4. Start learning: Learning will take time. That's why you should have fun throughout this process and do everything you can to make learning fun.
5. Skills should be developed: There should be an opportunity to apply the learned skills and knowledge in real situations.
6. Learning should never be stopped: They must be able to continue improving themselves even after reaching goals.

Based on all these written, the IPATH2UPSKILLING project was implemented in order to include unqualified adults in life and show what they can do for themselves, to bring unskilled adults to life and to show how they can improve themselves and do this.
